My art is influenced by the early digital and film cameras I grew up with and the way that they brought a subjective and dreamlike quality to memory rather then a documentation and literal one. Just as brushes determine the marks you will make, cameras also warp and shape the world in ways that can evoke so many different atmospheres and feelings even ones that where not ever exactly real. I have had the opportunity to explore the Arri 35 and Alexa as well as an array of High 8 and Video cassette cameras, Ive even recorded to Tape and used unusual formulas to home expose 16 mm film.
